The campsite at Lower Terawhiti Farm may be laid back and simple but it has everything you need to have a fabulous affordable holiday here in the South Hams.
Pitches are large and spacious at 10m x 10m, and the rest of the field is there for children to run free, roam and cycle to their heart's content.
There is no electric hook up on site but we do offer hot water, fridges, freezers, USB charging and you can have barbeques. How better to spend the evening than round a fire pit ! Hire one from us or bring your own. WOOD AND KINDLING AVAILABLE ON SITE TO BUY.
CAMPSITE RULES ARE SIMPLE :
* Strictly no noise after 10.30pm
* Respect the countryside and beaches, and do not litter or allow dogs to fowl
* Recycle and sort as much of your rubbish as possible
* Do not leave us your broken camping gear - tents, inflatables, chairs etc !!
* No fires unless in a fire pit and no disposable BBQ's
* No generators
* No under 18's without an adult
* Arrive after 1pm and depart by 12 noon
South Devon Camping is a temporary site and consists of two fields :
The South Devon Campsite is the larger site which has a wonderful valley view
and is home to the hot showers, hot water, loos, fridges and freezers.
Garden Field is the smaller site of just fifteen pitches which has a loo, fridge and freezer (hot showers and hot water are available in the South Devon Camping site opposite, only a few metres away). Some pitches also have a sea view.
If you have a preference as to where you want to stay, please let Anita know at the point of booking or you will be allocated a pitch in one of these two sites.
South Devon Camping is only open for a few weeks throughout the year after
which time all the facilities are packed away and the lovely site reverts back
to it's agricultural roots. This is a planning regulation which affects many of
the campsites here in South Devon and does mean that we are all limited as to
the facilities that can be offered. Therefore you won't find any electric hook-up,
concrete or tarmac ! Just lovely views, clear starry skies, glorious sunsets, the moon, a great vibe, a super coastline in walking distance and rustic
facilities which add to the charm of the site and give a little bit of hot
shower luxury !
BELL TENT HIRE (operated by Emma Twamley, a third party)
Why not take the effort out of camping and hire one of Emma's fabulous
vintage bell tents. Maybe you haven't got all the gear or want to arrange
a surprise camping trip for the family. Or maybe it's a celebration and you
want to make it just that bit more special. Emma will put the bell tent up
and kit it out for you on one of our pitches and pack it all away again ! How
